As NVIDIA has announced, Jetson Orin Nano 2 is a robotics computer set to redefine “entry-level” Edge AI with 2x the inference performance of Jetson Orin Nano in the same compact size.
With improved Tensor Cores and higher memory bandwidth, this new generative AI supercomputer delivers 2x the inference performance of Jetson Orin Nano Super in the same compact form factor and 40 W power envelope. It also delivers greater energy efficiency, consuming 40% less power at equivalent performance.
Featuring 78 TOPS, 8GB of memory, an 8-core Arm CPU, it powers a new class of smart embedded AI systems with a significant leap in AI and video processing performance.
Konsulko Orca OS, the Platform for the Edge
Konsulko Orca OS is a production-grade embedded Linux distribution specifically designed for Edge AI on NVIDIA Jetson platforms. The system is built using the Yocto Project, following best practices for layer layout, classes, and recipes.
Orca OS provides a robust and reliable foundation for Edge AI products, enabling secure boot, encrypted storage, and reliable over-the-air (OTA) updates. It is optimized for NVIDIA Jetson platforms, allowing customers to leverage powerful AI and machine learning frameworks in a secure and manageable environment.
Konsulko Orca OS is delivered as part of an engineering services engagement, and currently not sold as a standalone, off-the-shelf image or software license. As part of that engagement, Konsulko’s engineering team ports and enhances the secure software stack to each customer’s specific hardware, adds features where needed, and integrates it with the rest of the deliverables our customer requires for their product.
